I can’t believe it! Jordyn and Zach are getting MARRIED…! I’ve known Jordyn and her family for years (her dad is our pastor and her mom is my counselor!) so it is surreal to be sharing her Fredericksburg engagement photos!! Jordyn and Zach met their freshman year at Liberty. Zach loved Jordyn’s tattoo, which is the Arabic letter N. In Jordyn’s own words, it is “a symbol for Nazarene/Christian. For me it’s to show that I’m always going to stand firm in my faith and love for the Lord, It’s also a remembrance/prayer symbol for the persecuted church. It’s being used by Isis right now to identify those who won’t deny God and are dying because of it.” Um, WOW. If that tells you anything about this girl, you already know how amazing she is! And I LOVE that it was one of the first points of connection for her and Zach!
Although they first met each other freshman year, they didn’t start dating until their third year at school, when they were in the same student leadership class. “After several exciting but too short of conversations, Zach asked me out on a coffee date. And the rest is history. It’s safe to say that we both were pretty sure early on in dating.” I LOVE it. For their first date, Zach took Jordyn to a play, followed by a walk downtown to the vintage fair (swoon) and a stop for ice cream at the local chocolate store. Since then, they’ve had many more ice cream and coffee shop visits, one of which I got to capture during their engagement session! I love that God knew when Zach first noticed Jordyn’s tattoo that it was the spark to the beginning of a beautiful marriage and life together… and I can’t believe I get to be a part of it in this small but amazing way!
They described their relationship to me using the words exciting, deep, joyful, meaningful, and life-giving. They both feel that their relationship has a depth to it that has been developed through sincerity and trust. “Being together brings so much joy because of our unconditional love for one another. Our shared love of Christ, makes everything so much better.” Could these two be any sweeter?!
All throughout their shoot, I kept saying “Jesus LOVES you guys!” Every spot we shot at in downtown and rural Fredericksburg was perfect. Every place had such beautiful light and natural composition. Yet the joy that these two have shines the brightest in these photos. They are so in love that it’s inspiring to be around them. Their devotion and kindness to each other and their love for Jesus just makes me so happy! I had the best time hanging out with their during their engagement session and I promised that we had to try to get together for a double date the next time they’re in town!
Jordyn and Zach, thank you SO much for letting me capture this exciting season for you full of anticipation for the years to come! I can’t WAIT for your wedding day!! Until then, I hope you treasure these pictures from this unique time in your life together. It’s such a special season full of so much joy! I hope you love every image!
