I have wanted to shoot an Inn at the Old Silk Mill wedding for YEARS! When Jordyn told me this would be hers and Zach’s wedding venue, I was so excited!! There’s something really unique about this space and I thought it would fit the romantic, bohemian vibes Jordyn was going for perfectly. I’d been looking forward to this wedding day for months and when it finally arrived this past weekend, I was so ready to celebrate and capture all of these moments I knew would be so sweet!!
Jordyn is my pastor’s daughter. Her mom was my counselor when my mom died and all through high school. Her dad married Justin and me on our wedding day two years ago and Jordyn and her two sisters were there, too!! I think of the memories I have with this family and it brings tears to my eyes. I love that John and Brandy have three beautiful daughters all close in age just like I was to my two sisters. There’s such a special bond between these three. You can evidently see that in these photos!! Though Lexi and Bailey were sad to give their sister away, there was so much joy at the same time to see her marry someone as wonderful as Zach, who is also a pastor’s kid! Everyone was so happy that the Lord brought these two together and there’s just so much anticipation now for their future!!
A few special details I wanted to point out while you’re going through these beautiful photos:
– These two LOVE Jesus so much and made sure to worship and pray throughout the morning before walking down the aisle.
– Jordyn’s jewelry has elements from her mother and grandmother’s rings… (if I’m remembering correctly)!
– Her dress had a skirt that doubled as a cape for sunset photos. So, so pretty and something I’ve never seen before!!
– Their officiant was Jordyn’s soccer coach and he told such fun and sweet stories about Jordyn and her character during their ceremony!
– Jordyn and Zach made sure to include both of their fathers in their ceremony. Zach’s dad shared a message and Jordyn’s dad helped them share communion
– Jordyn’s sister Lexi is a worship leader and sang while Jordyn and Zach served their guests communion
– The bridesmaids sang as everyone came down the aisle!! (Wish I could tell you what song… I’ll have to come add that in later because it was beautiful and so sweet!)
– Jordyn and her dad danced to “Cinderella” by Steven Curtis Chapman for their Father/Daughter dance… and John gifted Jordyn a porcelain Cinderella at the beginning of the song. CUE TEARS (I’m crying right now!! Seriously the sweetest moment.)
– There were so many tears throughout this day because it was just so beautiful and full of Jesus!!
Grab your tissues because I can’t look through these without crying! Maybe it’s because this family means so much to me, or maybe it’s because the joy is so evident here and it reminds me of our own wedding day and how much Jesus loves us and loves showing us his love through marriage… I am so blessed to have the honor to capture these moments for couples like Jordyn and Zach. SO blessed. I hope you love every photo and that it reminds you how wonderful the mystery of marriage is in Jesus!!!
Special thanks to these wonderful vendors for making this wedding day a dream come true!
