I loved meeting Abby and Chris at Manassas Battlefield for their couples portraits! I immediately recognized Abby when she got out of the car. We had the same wedding photographer (the one and only Katelyn James) and I totally remember swooning over their engagement session (that was also at Manassas Battlefield) a few years ago! This is one of my all-time favorite spots to shoot. The sunsets are always gorgeous, the setting is rustic, organic, and natural, and the light is pretty any time of year. I was so excited to photograph Abby & Chris here and give them some updated portraits!

Abby’s dress was so pretty. Her blue eyes just popped with the color of this dress! These two also brought along a quilt Abby’s grandma made. They used it for their engagement session as well and I loved that detail. Maybe they can bring it along to future shoots, too…! The quilt can just travel through the years with them and show up in all their sessions together :) It added the perfect pop to the shots out in the open field at the end of the evening as the sun was going down. Definitely country chic vibes!
This was my last official portrait session of the year, and I’m already looking forward to 2021. Abby and Chris, thank you so much for having me capture this season for you! I hope you love your photos!
