The snow fell softly on the wet pavement as I walked up to the hospital’s main entrance. Lily had made her entrance into the world at 2am that morning, and it hadn’t even been announced on Facebook yet. The Arrowood family was still in the midst of the few quiet hours that follow a newborn’s arrival. Everyone’s hearts were filled to the brim with the joy of having one more family member to call their own. I walked into the room to find Kelsey already standing, dressed in comfy clothes, but looking gorgeous as always with her hair and makeup all ready for pictures! She was walking around, tidying things and giving hugs like she hadn’t just delivered a baby 11 hours prior. She looked like superwoman as she held her new baby girl in her arms, swaddling her tightly and rocking her ever so softly in the corner of the hospital room. These moments were precious ones to witness. Gracie would be there soon to meet her little sister and I had the honor of capturing it all through pictures AND video! This short lil film speaks for itself… it was truly a beautiful memory to be a part of, and I can’t wait to watch Gracie and Lily grow up together, sharing that everlasting love that only sisters can.
