Okay… this is crazy. My “little” sister is now a college graduate!! Just a few months ago it seems I was shooting her high school graduation (and SO so proud of her every moment through her Valedictorian speech) and now here we are, taking her college senior portraits! She walked across the stage in the gymnasium of Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana last week and received her Bachelor of Arts in Finance and Economics. She is SO smart and has made so many great memories these past 3 years at Bethel. Yes… three years!!! Without summer classes!! She’s always been the overachiever! ;)
It was so wonderful having Alexa live in Indiana so close to my mom’s side of the family these past few years. She’s really loved the slower pace of life, the open country roads, the harsh winters… okay so maybe she hasn’t LOVED the winters, but I know she’s enjoyed watching all the pretty snowfalls while studying in her dorm. It was such a special experience for her to move away to college and start a new life of her own. She’ll be living in Indiana for the time being, which I’m sad about because she’ll be so far away still, but I’m really happy for her choosing to live in a place that allows her to truly love her life. I know she is going to be so fulfilled where she is living!!
