When I turned over in bed as I woke up this morning, something felt OFF… the past few days, I’ve been having to use my eye shades because I’m the world’s lightest sleeper and my room faces the East and the sunshine wakes me up long before my alarm every morning. This morning my room was much darker, and as I was realizing this, I heard the radio announcer say something about “2 inches of snow.” Umm, what?! I was just running 6 miles outside in 65 degree weather two days ago! Obviously this sort of thing is nothing new for Virginia… yet we all love to act surprised anyway, every time. I’m not quite ready to say goodbye to the beautiful snow yet (we’ve been soo lucky this year with all this accumulation)! I grabbed the only other living beings in my house today and tried to catch a few of those “look how cute my dog is playing in the snow” pictures. Well. LOL. My dogs were NOT having it. I also may have just really missed playing around with editing (it’s been over a week since I opened Lightroom!) so I snapped a few pictures and wanted to share them on the blog. Things are about to really pick up this next month with engagement sessions and wedding season beginning, so this is probably the last random blog post of this type you’ll see for a while! Enjoy this last little piece of winter! :)
It was just too pretty to ignore! I went on a short walk (but only had my iPhone with me… you can check Instagram for those pictures!)
Jackson looking out over his kingdom…
He tends to get excited…
While Jackson was ready to go out and sniff around some more…
Chloe was NOT going to entertain my dreams of cute doggy portraits in the snow… what a little brat!! =p
Loved this little surprise snowstorm. Perfect backdrop for the rest of the day that I’m going to spend reading Carly Fiorina’s autobiography. Curl up by the fire with a loved one tonight + take a moment to squeeze in some cuddles while you still have the excuse of this cold weather! :)
