I’ve been excited about this wedding since Teri first sent me her wedding details last Fall. The moment she said her and Bobby were getting married at the Sacred Heart Cathedral in downtown Richmond, I flipped. With outdoor ceremonies being the popular trend today, it’s not very often you get to see a wedding happen in such a gorgeous church! Bobby & Teri are SO laidback and fun… I enjoyed exploring with them for their engagement session so much a few months ago, and their wedding day was everything I expected and more. From the tears Teri shed as she rode the trolley to meet Bobby for their first look to the tears her father cried as he walked into the room just as her mom finished buttoning up her dress, it was truly a day to be remembered full of so many precious moments. This is truly a wedding I will never forget!! :)
I loved Teri’s “something blue” … so cute! Those sparkly Kate Spade shoes are to die for!! Not only did she have limes in her bouquet… but she also had a VERRAGIO ring! You can bet I was in heaven!! Their first peek at the bride :) He started crying as soon as he laid eyes on her. He was speechless, and the entire room fell quiet as he bowed his head into his hand, walked up to his little girl, and gave her one last hug before giving her away. Off to their first look!!! Bobby & Teri rented a trolley to drive them and their wedding party around all afternoon… so sweet! She started crying when she saw Bobby standing with his back turned waiting for her. I don’t blame her! Such a special moment! I just love first looks!!! I LOVED these colors! Purple & green can be hard to pull off… but Teri did it flawlessly!! And then we started bride & groom portraits! Just might be one of my favorite parts of the day :) And then it was off to the chapel!!! Or should I say… the cathedral :) Seriously looked like something I’ve seen in Europe!! This was during their vow reading… such sweet words. Married!!! Teri you are gorgeous!!! Then we headed to Havana 59 for the reception… after shooting a wedding in Mexico, I didn’t think anything could remind me of being at that Mexican bar on the beach… but this reception site totally felt like I was back in Cozumel! Such a unique feel and setup!! The first dance… :) And of course the father daughter dance was just precious! We snuck a few last minute portraits on the loft… couldn’t pass up that light and the fact that all the bridesmaids somehow ended up with cigars in their hands! Haha!! Bobby & Teri… thank you so much for the honor of capturing your wedding day! I can’t wait to make that double date happen!! So happy for you two! Have an amazing time on your honeymoon that’s coming up SO soon!! :)
