Well, this was one of my FAVORITE days from the entire trip! I can’t believe we are only on Part III… and it’s really only a third of the way into all of the pictures we took! I think I might have overshot just a tad ;) Today I’m taking a trip down memory lane back to Bamberg, the most adorable little town in all of Bavaria, in my opinon! This was such a perfect and picturesque day. From the snowflakes falling to the Christmas market stalls to the way the streets lit up once nightfall arrived, Bamberg was like something out of a DREAM. I’ll just let you see for yourself!!
Just had to snap a picture of the snow covered trees as we drove by!
This is Bamberg… I think it’s the quintessential little German town!!
Love the details in the painting on the side of this building!
Bamberg is actually home to what is called “Little Venice” … we didn’t get a picture of it, but just on the other side of this river, the houses on the waterfront look a little bit what Venitian houses look like! You can kind of get an idea!!
Ohhh the SNOW!
I remember this section of Bamberg from my last trip to Germany 4 years ago like it was yesterday! This square is SO pretty in the summer and there is a wall of roses and a rose garden you can walk through! But this time around we just stood in the center and enjoyed the snow!
One of the gorgeous churches in Bamberg…
And then the city lit up and it looked like the most beautiful and magical thing I’d ever seen.
This was the very last post from our days spent in Germany! So sad!! But next up…. ROME, Italy!!!
