This Fall Shadow Creek wedding just blew me away! I’ve LOVED shooting at Shadow Creek Weddings & Events for years – it’s one of my favorite Virginia wedding venues for a variety of reasons – and this was the first time I got to shoot here for a late October wedding. I couldn’t wait to see all the leaves and the setting of this venue with all the Fall colors! Thankfully, Lacey and Paul shared a FIRST LOOK and we had a solid 45 minutes or so for portraits before the ceremony, so we had time to actually take advantage of the gorgeous rustic Fall backdrop here at Shadow Creek! I’m so glad because these portraits are some of my all time FAVORITES!
Lacey is the kind of person who just glows when you meet her. Her smile is so contagious and she is just so warm and welcoming, you feel like you’ve known her forever. Lacey and Paul actually go to our church (we didn’t know until after they booked!) and it was so fun to have that in common with them! I have loved watching their love for each other grow over the past year. The way they look at each other is just so, so sweet.
A few things I cannot get over about this wedding day… Lacey’s incredible Pronovias gown… the detailing was just stunning! She looked SO GOOD. My jaw dropped when I saw it! I also loved the hot spiked cider that Lacey and Paul served their guests as they arrived for the ceremony. It was a little chilly out (expected for late October!) and the hot cider warmed everyone up and made sure all guests were cozy but also ready to have fun! :) The reception details were just amazing too. The candles… they get me every time! So romantic. I just loved everything about this day!
