Well, this was my first Delaware wedding! It was so much fun shooting at Deerfield Golf Club to capture Jill & Jeff’s wedding day, even with all of the summer thunderstorm weather! I love that I was able to reassure Jill that everything was still going to be amazing even with the rain, because I experienced 14+ hours of rain myself on my own wedding day! When I say it rained all day, it rained ALL. DAY. when we got married. I still have yet to photograph a wedding with that kind of precipitation, but when it does rain, I am able to be calm and collected and promise the bride that I know exactly how she’s feeling! Jill’s day was still gorgeous, we still took outdoor portraits, and we even got some umbrella shots in the rain! They’re so cute!

Between the blush bridesmaids dresses and the gorgeous peonies in the bouquets, this day reminded me a little bit of our wedding besides just the rain! It was so sweet getting to see Jeff light up as he turned around to see Jill for the first time in her Hayley Paige gown (so, so stunning!). I loved seeing their daughter Sophia light up throughout the day, too – she was all smiles and giggles! Jill & Jeff were surrounded by love from so many family members and friends and their day was so special because of that!
I’m so thankful these two had me capture their wedding day, and I hope that they treasure these photos for years to come!
