Oh where do I BEGIN with this wedding day?! First of all, before we dive into this absolutely stunning wedding, you just have to know something about Claire and Dan. They have been together for over half of a decade and this day was a long time coming. That meant they knew each other’s friends and families like their own, melt into each other like they are best friends (because they are), and they’ve experienced a lot of life together before celebrating the start of their marriage on this gorgeous day. Now that we’ve gotten that explained, all of the tears will make a LOT of sense! This was by far the most emotional and riveting wedding I’ve ever been a part of and I start to tear up just thinking about some of these moments. It was truly beautiful and sacred and precious in every sense of those words!
I pulled up to Dover Hall Estate so excited but a little nervous!!! This is one INCREDIBLE venue… and when I have such an amazing location to work with, it’s easy to feel a little overwhelmed! There was just so much I wanted to capture! Thankfully, seeing Claire immediately put me at ease because she is such a sweet and easygoing person to be around. She wasn’t at all stressed or restless. She was just overwhelmed with joy. We all couldn’t believe this day was finally here. It was a day fit for a princess and Claire sure looked like one with her golden crown, A-line ball gown, and stunning florals. She’s a natural beauty so I knew she’d be a gorgeous bride, but everyone was blown away when they saw her. As she walked down the aisle one of their groomsmen sang a beautiful opera song and there wasn’t a dry eye in the rose garden! It was a beautiful moment!
The details of this day could easily overshadow just how amazing the wedding day was by nature. It’s hard to explain, but there was something about Claire and Dan’s wedding day that was especially wonderful. The decor was exquisite with golden chandeliers, knights in shining armor, and deep burgundy florals… but this couple was even more dazzling than their wedding aesthetics. I’ll never forget how sweet Dan was to Claire, the gifts given between the parents and their children… how Claire cried when she hugged her parents before heading to her First Look and thanked them for everything they’d done for her up to this moment. They are two of the most grateful and graceful people I’ve ever met and to say it was an honor to be a part of their wedding day would be an understatement. I am SO thankful to have been the one to capture these moments for them. They were truly so special!!!
Claire and Dan, I hope you’re having the sweetest first few weeks as newlyweds… you deserve every bit of happiness and more. Thank you so much for having me be a part of your wedding day. I’ll never forget it!
