Ever had something really great happen that you had no idea was coming your way?! Well, it just happened to me last week! I was planning on going to a meet up with 30 other photographers on Thursday night, and the day of the dinner, I decided to post on the event page asking if anyone wanted to meet beforehand to take some pictures. A couple people responded, but only one was able to show up… and her name is Meredith! She turned out to be the only photographer that’s my age and as we got to talking, we figured out we actually have a LOT in common! One of them being that we’re both a part of an amazing group of young Christian girl creatives called Delight & Be. I’ve been a part of the group for a couple months now but didn’t realize that Meredith 1) lived so close and 2) was going to the East Coast DELIGHT Retreat in early April! I flipppped when I heard her say that she was going!! I am just now that much more excited for April to get here! Meredith is SUCH an awesome person and a really amazingly talented photographer (check out her work at www.meredithsledge.com!). It’s too bad she lives a few hours away or I’m sure we’d be hanging out more often!! Meredith, thank you so much for meeting up with me and taking some headshots of me, too! I can’t wait to see them!
