I can’t believe this day is finally here! Kick It Up podcast is LIVE on iTunes… ahh!!
This has been a dream of mine for years. And when I say years, I mean, I purchased the microphone setup for this podcast back in 2017, nearly three years ago now. It has been collecting dust on my shelf since.
I had so many hesitations when it came to the dream of launching this podcast. What if people didn’t like my voice or the way I sounded? What if they didn’t like my personal views and/or advice? At the core of all of these was the fear, what if they didn’t like ME?
It was all too easy to let that fear speak louder than the faith I had in myself. I knew I was excited to share my voice about things that meant a lot to me… things like:
- What we’ve learned about what really works after 10 years as a couple (three of them married and living together)
- How God transformed my heart through a year of counseling (focusing on anxiety, anger, and communication)
- What running a six-figure business by myself is really like
- Our craziest travel stories and how we’ve been able to see the world on a newlywed budget (those memories are priceless)
- What no one told me about launching passive income streams
- How to love a friend who is grieving the loss of a loved one
- Sharing life in general as we live it out (so excited to record more episodes with Justin!)
- Having heart-to-heart conversations with some of my favorite people in the creative industry and some of my closest friends
This summer, I decided to stop letting fear quiet this dream. It was time to dust of the mic, clear my throat, say a prayer, and just do the thing. So, here we are. It’s live and there’s no turning back now!
