This wedding day was SO special for so many reasons. You see, Jasmine isn’t just any bride… she was BORN to be an MK Bride and she has owned it since the beginning!!! Our very first Skype call, she was beyond excited just to spend some time chatting with me and 1) that made me feel like the most loved person in the world!! and 2) it made me SO excited to be a part of her and Seyi’s wedding day!! She was just SO sweet! Jasmine is one of those people that just make you feel good about yourself the second you step into her aura. She is so warm, caring, kind, and easy-going. Her and Seyi’s wedding day was a perfect representation of that and the laidback vibe these two share. Their love is deep, playful, rooted in friendship, and doesn’t take life too seriously… and that reminds me a lot of Justin and myself! :)
Jasmine took a DIY approach to planning her wedding and it was nothing short of amazing. It was October, the weather was just starting to cool off, the leaves JUST starting to turn on the tops of the trees, and it was the perfect time of year to incorporate burgandy into a blush, gold, & cream palette!! There were so many unique touches to this day that I just LOVED! For one, Jasmine did her entire invitation suite… and it was beautiful!! I loved the maroon envelopes and gold wax seal! Secondly, Jasmine had a BLUSH DRESS. It was blush!!!! And a Maggie Soterro gown at that! I about died when she showed me!! All the heart eyes. Third, these two got married at a park on the water and it was such a simple setting for their sweet ceremony and reception but SO beautiful. The portrait locations were fantastic, too! What else? Jasmine and Seyi both cried during their vows while sharing how much they mean to each other… and there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience! The bridesmaids wore different shades of magenta, burgandy, and blush floor length gowns and the groomsmen wore had WHITE suit jackets with red accents! The bride is allergic to flowers, so she ordered her flowers in dried bouquet form through an incredible vendor on Etsy and they were stunning. The reception decor was gorgeous with gold candlesticks, maroon table runners and napkins, a lovely sweetheart’s table and plenty of moss to incorporate the outdoor feel of the venue. Jasmine and Seyi changed into traditional Nigerian dress for the second half of their reception and just in time for golden hour sunset bride and groom portraits. It was SUCH an incredible and unique day and I adored every second.
Jasmine and Seyi, thank you SO much for having me be a part of your wedding in such an important way. It was truly an honor. Jasmine, you were one breathtaking bride and you are one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever met, inside and out. Thank you so much for letting me experience this day alongside you. I hope you LOVE every last photo. You deserve all the happiness in the world. Love you girl!!
Special thanks to these wonderful vendors for making this wedding day a dream come true!
Congratulations and best wishes, Jasmine and Seyi!
