Last weekend, I shot my first senior session of the season and my first senior shoot with my new Canon gear! What I love about seniors is getting to be a little more creative and and adventurous with the way I shoot and the settings I use. For instance… I think I might have been brave enough to drop down to an aperture of f/1.6 for some of these pictures!! But even shooting at 1.8 is fun because I rarely do that at weddings! Anyway… meet Jordyn! She is a Forest Park senior who is graduating in just a few short weeks! She goes to my church, and we had never really talked before her shoot but I can’t see HOW we hadn’t already become friends! She is the sweetest girl and is just so fun to be around! And she is SO crazy photogenic… we started warming up the first few minutes of the shoot, and her “warm up” pictures are like, some of my favorites!! Haha. I told her she made my job way too easy :) I’m so happy that summer is here and senior shoots are going to be happening more often… including my own sister!!! Craziness! So glad I got to kick off this year’s senior season with this beautiful girl!!!
See what I mean?! Gah!!
So fierce! Jordyn’s “model face” is one of the best I’ve seen!! She makes it look so easy :)
Another favorite…!
Seriously girl… you are too gorgeous!
LOVE how warm and summery this next set looks!!
Makes me want to go back to this park and spend the afternoon there again! So pretty!
Jordyn plays varsity soccer at her high school, which I totally admire because I used to try to play soccer once upon a time… and pretty much failed epically any and all times I touched the ball.
I thought the green jersey really made her eyes pop! Take note future MK seniors…! :)
Jordyn will be heading off to Liberty University in the fall, and I know she’s going to love it there and do so well! It was so surreal to me that I was giving her advice on dorm upkeep… it feels like forever ago I was in her shoes but like it was yesterday at the same time!
Annnnd then we stumbled upon this field. That had the perfect warm glowy sunset light trickling through from behind. So perfect!
Favorite…!!!!
And another favorite… she has to have considered modeling by now, right?!
Love, love, love Jordyn’s graduation dress. She looked something like a fairy spinning around in this little valley in the woods.
Those legs! Those heels!!
This one’s in my top 5… :)
Congratulations on all your achievements, Jordyn! I can’t wait to see how much fun you have at Liberty over the next four years!! I’ll be praying for God’s guidance and peace in your life… I know you’re going to be so successful! Xoxo
Jordyn, you’re gorgeous! You have beautiful eyes! And, Megan, very lovely work! I love all the fun poses, especially the spinning one :)
Isn’t she?! And the spinning ones were so fun :) I love senior shoots!
These are BEAUTIFUL, Megan! I LOOOOVE that black and white in the last white dress where she’s spinning!!
