I walked into Lauren’s apartment (which was soon to be Andrew’s, too!) and it was surprisingly calm. Usually things get a little crazy on wedding days and the bridal suite is the hub for all the action!! But Lauren’s bedroom where her bridesmaids were doing their makeup was quiet. Everyone was just so peaceful. The girls sipped on their smoothies (courtesy of the father of the bride) and Lauren carefully checked the flowers in her hair and put her lipstick on. It was almost time to get married… and Lauren and Andrew were SO excited to finally be joining their lives together after 4 years of dating and being one another’s best friend! And their Bristow Manor wedding photos are just stunning!!
There was so much reverance and respect for Lauren and Andrew’s marriage throughout this day. The reverand gave a recap of their relationship, starting when Lauren was attending Mass with Andrew. They got to know each other during their studies at George Mason and grew closer over the years. At a wedding I was shooting last summer, Andrew picked up one of my business cards and pulled his friend aside, saying, “I think I really need to start getting serious about my future with Lauren.” How cool is that?! It was surreal being a part of this day before it was even being planned!
I got to capture Lauren and Andrew’s proposal, engagement, and now, their wedding day… and it was such a beautiful story to tell. I love how these two are building their marriage on the firm foundation of Christ’s grace and love. It’s truly inspiring! Lauren and Andrew, I know you’re going to have the sweetest marriage and the future holds nothing but joy for you two. Congratulations again, and I hope you love reliving this day over and over again as the years go on through these photos.
