Stefanie contacted me months ago about her family getting together for photos in the summer at Manassas Battlefield. Her mom lives in France and since that’s obviously pretty far away from Baltimore, Maryland, it’s a special occassion when everyone is together. Capturing these pictures had me in my happy place. Every shot I took, I thought, “they’re going to love this one!!!” Not because of how well the shot was composed or the light, color, etc… but because of how much joy was captured in that picture. This family is full of fun and laughter and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever laughed so much at a photo shoot as I did at this one! Showing up at a field to meet “strangers” can sound like a pretty weird job to have, but these people felt like friends instantly. I hope they print a million copies of these images and hang up canvases all over their walls because family pictures like this are so, so special to have. OH, and… there are TWO sets of twins in this family!! Yep! Haha! This is clearly one special group!! :) Add in a beautiful amber field, the golden glow of the sunset, and perfect weather and this entire shoot was absolutely magical.
