Oahu Photographer | Lanikai Beach Sunset Shoot | Megan Kelsey Photography | Destination Portrait & Wedding Photographer | Oahu Hawaii Photographer // I woke up this afternoon at 1:34pm still thinking I was waking up with the sunrise in beautiful, magical Hawaii. The entire trip still feels like a dream… like I could hope into our junky Volvo out front and drive back into downtown Waikiki, park at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, and go sit on the beach and watch the waves crash until the sun went down. I LOVED Oahu. It was so busy and bustling and what I imagine DC would feel like if it were on an island. I was beyond lucky to be able to go for a super cheap plane ticket and a free stay for all 10 days we were there, and I was even MORE lucky to shoot there!!! Out of the four shoots I did, Meredith’s was one of them. Any where we go we are taking pictures of each other, but the beaches of Lanikai added an extra dose of magic to our time together during this shoot. The sound of the turquoise waves crashing on soft white sand behind us, the lulling island music from a homeless man’s ukelele drifting through the air, the bright green trees popping in contrast to the muted tones of the beach… it was just MAGICAL. These are going to be some of my favorite pictures of Meredith for life, and I’m so excited to share them here on the blog today!! :)
I’m such a fan of these laughing photos. LOVE.
Meredith, you are SO good at looking good!!
When you’re in Hawaii, you get to use things like lifeguard stands as your backdrop. Yes please.
And then, just as the sun was going down over the horizon of the far side of the island, we headed out to the beach…
LOVE.
More pictures from our ten days in Hawaii coming to the blog NEXT WEEK! Woo hoo!!!
These are absolutely GORGEOUS, Megan! I love them all!
Thanks Laura! Seriously so much fun (and so surreal to shoot at such an amazing location!)
YAY. Love them all!
Can’t wait to see your portraits of me!!
