Last weekend we celebrated Mia’s high school graduation. In a way, it felt like this milestone was long overdue. Mia has felt older than high school age to me for a while. She is mature, sure of herself, confident, and has a hilarious grown up sense of humor. I can’t believe that last month, we sat at the Jiffy Lube Live concert hall and watched her walk across stage with a huge smile on her face to receive her diploma! We are so proud of her accomplishments and that she transferred to public school for the first time EVER for her senior year but managed to fit right in and make so many good friends. I remember being so nervous for her on her first day and it proved to be worthless worrying because she came home with so many stories about new friends! This past year she was a part of business, leadership, and sports management extra curriculars (as well as a participant at a Georgetown camp for sports management and marketing) and I was blown away by how dedicated she was to each of her commitments. This Fall she will be attending Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia to study Sports Management and I am so excited to see where her passion for this industry takes her! I will miss having her at home SO much, but I can’t wait to go visit and spend a few days on the beach with her down at her school!! ;) I love you, Mia!!! You’re going to have such an amazing college career and life!!
Walking down to the stage…
