Where do I start with these two?! When Megan first contacted me about her wedding day next summer, the first thing I noticed was that her date would be the very first Saturday I’d be back to shooting weddings after Justin and I return from our honeymoon!!! This means that Megan and I just about have the same countdown to our wedding date. Almost!! They are within WEEKS of each other!! It turns out we have quite a few things in common… other than our first names ;)… like our love for European travel and our insane mosquito magnet blood!! When we noticed the mosquitos at the beginning of their shoot, I started to say, “Dont worry… they’ll all come to me!!!” But then Megan said, “No, they come to me, too!!” Sure enough… we got eaten alive!!! I will never again forget bug spray for a shoot in late summer, that’s for sure!
But all the bites we took home were worth it for these sunset photos around the grounds of the Naval Academy in Annapolis. I had no idea this place was so beautiful. It was my first time “on campus” and for the first 20 minutes of the shoot I wouldn’t shut up about how pretty it all was!! And then within a few shots I realized I not only had an amazing location to work with but also an incredibly photogenic couple!! I kept saying, oh man this shoot is gonna be SO good!! I think I was right :) Megan and Travis… I’m SO happy that I get to be a part of your wedding day next summer… I know you two are going to be just adorable on your wedding day! I can’t WAIT!!
