I am so excited to be sharing Shea & Noah’s Sparrow Barn Lithia wedding! This day was full of so many of our church family and friends and that made it all the more sweet and special. When we lived in Virginia, I photographed all of our pastor’s daughters’ weddings, engagements, and senior portraits and it was such an honor. It has been a WHILE since I blogged a wedding… so this one seems like a fitting one to jump back in! :)
About a year ago, we found our church home here in the Tampa area and I fell in love with the Gebhards family (as does everyone who meets them)! When I heard Shea got engaged, I was jumping up and down at the prospect of being her wedding photographer. I was elated when she chose me to be the one to capture her big day!!
Shea & Noah’s Sparrow Barn Lithia Wedding
When Shea started telling me about her and Noah’s love story, it reminded me so much of mine and Justin’s. They have known each other for forever. Their dads were college roommates and are still close friends. Even though Shea and Noah never lived in the same state, they lived close enough for mutual family vacations and still got to grow up together. They have pictures of the two of them from when they were 4, 6, 12 years old. I know they know how precious it is to get to spend so much life together before getting married! It’s one of the Lord’s greatest gifts He’s ever given to Justin and me.
Shea described her wedding day palette as ivory, blush, and some touches of gold, and I knew it would be gorgeous. It was amazing watching the church family come together to make this day so beautiful for Shea and Noah. People ask me all the time, “What is your favorite wedding you’ve ever shot?” I always answer that my favorites are the weddings where people show up to serve.
There are few things more beautiful than seeing the love of your family and friends take this form. People cooked, people decorated, people cleaned up. Amber made the bouquets and did all the stunning floral displays. Women prepared and served delicious pasta and salad for everyone to enjoy. The church parking lot transformed into a functional space for a romantic tented reception. Needless to say, the day was so dreamy and I loved being a part of it!
Thank you so much to these fantastic vendors for being so wonderful to work with and making this day happen for Shea & Noah. Congratulations, you two! I am so happy we get to continue being friends for years to come!! I hope you love and treasure these photos even more than you expected to! xo
