They actually first noticed each other when they were in 2nd grade. Unbeknowst to the other, they both had a crush on each other; perhaps their first real crush their 7-year-old selves had ever had. It wasn’t until they were in their late teens, however, that Spencer decided to reconnect with Victoria by sending her a Facebook message and asking her to accompany him as his date to his military ball. They both really hit it off that evening and soon realized that they had a lot in common… and those feelings from their childhood years just might be resurfacing. A year later, Spencer surprised Victoria with an evening at Great Falls, and got down on one knee overlooking the waterfall and asked Victoria to marry him. The following Spring, they celebrated with their closest family and friends through a beautifully traditional, classic wedding. Victoria and Spencer, your wedding day was the epitome of class and elegance, and I loved getting to be a part of and a witness to the beginning of a holy and sacred marriage. I can’t wait to have dinner with you two soon, and I hope you love and cherish these images for years to come! Xoxo
Victoria wore her grandmother’s wedding dress… it was so vintage and SO Victoria.
Their church was GORGEOUS! St. Raymond’s is just breathtaking!
Spencer and Victoria were lucky enough to host their reception at the Marine Barracks in Washington, DC. It was a gorgeous ballroom!
We had 15 minutes for bride and groom portraits…. PHEW! Talk about wham bam thank you m’amm! I love how these came out, though!
We even received permission from the standing officer to shoot on this hallowed ground. So cool.
And then it was back to the party!! :)
She was telling the DJ that she didn’t know how to throw…
…and she threw it over the heads of all the girls and her maid of honor (who was sitting at a table) actually caught it! Lol!
Before they knew it… it was time for the last dance… and time for Victoria and Spencer to head off to St. Maarten for their honeymoon!
It was such a beautiful day and I may have cried more than once!! Victoria, it has been an honor to call you my friend these past few years, and I’m so happy and thankful that God has blessed you with a husband like Spencer. I can’t wait to watch your new life unfold! <3
