This wedding was one I had been counting down to for months. Angela shared the story of how her and Sam met, fell in love, and got engaged and as we chatted over two Samoa lattes on a hot July day, I became invested in this love story centered on Jesus. I was inspired and encouraged in my own relationship with Justin after spending a couple of hours hearing all about Angela + Sam. As I drove to their wedding, I was filled with so much excitement and anticipation for the day that I knew everyone had been looking forward to. In the days leading up to the wedding, the weather changed countless times and not once did Angela freak out. I think I was more concerned about the weather than she was! Worried they wouldn’t have a single dry minute for portraits after the ceremony, I drew up an alternate timeline that would have changed Sam & Angela’s plan to see each other for the first time at the aisle.
As much as it sounded tempting, Angela let me know that she was confident it would all work out and that we were just going to trust God that it wouldn’t rain. And guess what? It didn’t!!! There wasn’t a single wet moment from the time I got out of my car to the second I stepped back into it to drive home. In the middle of a hurricane ravaging the East Coast, we really were so blessed to have such a beautiful day. Sam and Angela got SO many portraits and they are some of my favorite ever. This entire wedding was absolutely stunning from the coral florals to the rustic charm of Stone Tower Winery. Enjoy reliving this beautiful day, and Sam & Angela… have an AMAZING time in Maui!!!
