I am SO excited to share this wedding!! When I think back to this day, I remember snow flurries falling as my best friend Meredith and I walked to get coffee and breakfast before heading over to The Booking House in Manheim, Pennsylvania. This was a little bit of a destination wedding for me as I drove about three hours or so to shoot it, so we decided to get a private room Airbnb and make a little two night trip out of it! Thanks to Kayla and Evan we got to experience Lancaster for the first time and it was so memorable! I loved the coffee shops, restaurants, and antique stores on every corner… and it was the first “snowfall” of the season for me and that’s always so much fun!! While I’m excited thinking about my first trip to Lancaster, I’m even more excited to share one of the most unique weddings I’ve ever shot!!
One thing that made this day special was the industrial vibes of this venue. We crossed the train tracks and walked into this historical red brick building to find an incredible interior that made you feel like you were stepping back in time… but also walking into an exclusive club at the same time. I was speechless! The ceremony space upstairs, the cocktail hour room, the string lights throughout the venue. The light pouring in through the windows where Kayla got into her dress added so much dimension and depth to her getting ready photos that they are some of my all-time favorites!! As I was shooting them I just couldn’t wait to show her the final result! I’m sure they will be favorites of mine for quite some time because she’s just STUNNING and her dress, hair, and flowers just made for the prettiest bridal portraits… you just have to see!!
Future brides, take note! Even with the raining mist outside and sopping wet ground… Kayla just picked up her dress and let me go to town with portraits! It made ALL the difference!! The Fall colors in their bride & groom photos are just stunning and wouldn’t have happened if Kayla had been too concerned with getting her dress a little wet. I’m sure she’d agree that it was WELL worth it!!
Kayla and Evan, thank you for choosing me to be the one to capture your wedding day and all of the special memories that came with it. Thank you for being so kind, accommodating, and RELAXED your entire day!! I’ll never forget it, and your wedding day will forever be a special one for me because of how much you love your families and value your time with them. Thank you for letting me be a part of this season with you. I hope you love and treasure these photos for years and years to come.
Special thanks to these vendors for making this day possible!
