April has always been a special month for my family. Because on the first day of April, Mia turns one year older… and on the last day of April, Alexa turns one year older, too! Alexa and I are only seperated in age by a little over a year and a half, and she and Mia are separated by two years. However, they have always been two peas in a pod! I don’t know how that happened, but the two of them were best friends hand in hand growing up while I was the one in charge. A lot of people ask what it’s like to have sisters, and the other day I described it as having a built in best friend. And it’s true. Need someone to go shopping with? They’re just 10 feet away in the next room over. Want to have a movie night and bake cookies and laugh about silly stuff? Your sister(s) are probably up for it. And, I get in trouble for this one… but if you need to grab a quick cute top because all your clothes are dirty and you’re tired of wearing the same old stuff, your sister’s closet begins calling your name. Growing up with my two sisters is something I wouldn’t trade for the world. It isn’t always pretty, but when we’re all in a good mood, I guess it’s pretty fun!!! ;)
This summer will be the last summer ever that the three of us are living under one roof. Alexa will be home from college in a few days and I’m so excited to have all four of us waking up in the same house again! I hope Alexa and Mia are both up for tons of adventure, spontaneous day trips, and “shop till you drop” marathons (an infamous tradition for the women in our family). Mia, I can’t believe you are now 18! And so grown up! And a REAL adult! Your sense of style just keeps getting better and you always give the best advice. And Alexa, your teenage years may be gone but you will ALWAYS be a kid at heart. Your bubbly personality breathes so much light and joy into my life. I love you both to death and I can’t wait to spend this summer together!!! P.S… we need to do a new photo shoot ASAP. ;)
