Every wedding always leaves me with a specific word or theme in my head. Travis and Kayley’s day left me walking away with the word COMMUNITY stuck on my mind! These two had over 350 guests show up on their big day, and these guests didn’t just come to enjoy the party… they actually lended a hand to help Travis and Kayley make this wedding happen! Guests cooked the meal, help set up the ceremony and reception, and Kayley’s bridesmaids did her hair and makeup. There was such a sense of closeknit community that it made me imagine what weddings must have been like years ago when it was less about the caterer and more about everyone coming together to celebrate the holy union of two people who love the Lord. My second shooter and I felt like we were a part of the family. And Kayley was just radiating with joy the ENTIRE day. Again, I’m left feeling so, so blessed and ministered to by such a beautiful day. From the hand-lettered signs Kayley made herself to the peach and blush bouquets that a friend put together, this wedding day was full of DIY touches with a bit of Southern feel. This will forever be one of my favorite wedding days!
We pulled into the driveway at Kayley’s parents’ home and there were cows in the front yard! Love it.
How pretty are the colors in this bouquet?!
Kayley gifted her bridesmaids with vintage bird cages! LOVE!
Her dress had off the shoulder sleeves and was lace all over!! So pretty!!
Travis is a photographer himself, and I didn’t even have to tell them about a first look… they had already decided long ago that they were going to do this! And we had TONS of portrait time because of it!! I cannot rave about the benefits of doing a first look enough… it’s always such a special thing to watch and “first look” couples always have so many more portraits in the final gallery! Just look at how cute these two are :)
So precious…
Kayley, you are gorgeous!!! You just radiate with beauty!
This wedding party was awesome!
The light under this tree was so pretty!
All the bridesmaids got their picture with Kayley and they were cracking me up with their “heyyyy” ‘s! Lol
Isn’t this baby just adorable?!
And then we did even more bridals!!
Off to the chapel to get married!
Praying over Kayley… such a special moment.
Seriously?! So cute!!!
They came up to the altar to pray over Travis and Kayley… they couldn’t ask for a better family + community!
And then it was time for MORE portraits! Seriously you can never have too many :)
These girls crack me up. Hahaha
Kayley… you are just stunning!
Favorite!
Reception time!!!
Yes… they had a coffee bar. So awesome.
So when Travis and Kayley were dating, Travis would leave notes for Kayley folded up into paper airplanes. So they had their guests throw paper airplanes at their exit, because they’re awesome.
Travis and Kayley, thank you so much for entrusting me with capturing your wedding day… it was truly such a beautiful thing to be a part of! I hope you treasure these pictures for years and years to come!
